Now that the weather has warmed up, we love spending time outdoors as a family! I love to work in the garden, JM loves to grill, and AJ loves to help us both. 🙂 But the beauty and magic of spending a whole evening outdoors having a fun backyard BBQ comes crashing down around me when it’s time to deal with all the dirty dishes. It kinda ruins a perfect day to end it by doing a ton of cleaning. Sometimes I wish I could just throw it all away rather than having to clean it up…
Of course I can!
Don’t worry, I didn’t actually throw away our good dishes that night, although I wanted to. But the next night we used Dixie Ultra® Disposable Plates and I didn’t have to do any dishes!
That’s right. NO. DIRTY. DISHES!
We went outside and had a little backyard BBQ, and other than rinsing off the grill tongs, we didn’t have to do any dishes!
Watermelon was on sale at our grocery store, so JM grilled that up, and it was delicious! He made a “rub” with a bit of sugar and a bit of chili powder, coated the slices in that, and put them straight on the grill.
And the plates didn’t even flinch with the weight of all that watermelon!
I’m always a little worried when using disposable plates that they’re going to fold like a slice of pizza and dump their contents all over the ground. But these Dixie Ultra® disposable plates have a reinforced rim and are the strongest plates Dixie has ever made, so they handled the weight of watermelon, steak, and corn on the cob like a champ!
And I got to enjoy the entire evening without worrying about cleanup!
May 18th is No Dirty Dishes Day, and to celebrate, Dixie is offering 20% off their awesome plates; stock up today only, and you’ll be set for a whole summer of no dirty dishes!
May 18th *special*: Take advantage of this ONE DAY deal and get this 20% deal for No Dirty Dishes Day.
Disclosure: I received compensation from Dixie in exchange for my participation in this campaign, and my honest discussion of their products. But the Dixie Ultra® disposable plates are seriously strong and all opinions in this post are 100% my own. I would never write a post about something I didn’t think was useful or interesting for you guys, and Practically Functional will only publish sponsored posts for companies or products I love and believe in! 🙂
I was selected for this opportunity as a member of CLEVER and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.
