Your Kitchen – The Heart Of Any Home

I’ve always felt like the kitchen is the heart of any home; it’s where we prepare food, entertain, congregate, and enjoy the time we spend together. Our puppy, Fawkes, also loves the kitchen not only because it’s where the people are, but also because she’s always hopeful that she’ll get to try some of the tasty food we’re cooking! She loves hanging out and being underfoot, and though we don’t give her “people food”, we do occasionally reward her with dog treats for being such a good puppy. Milo’s Kitchen sent us a bunch of delicious dog treats recently for Fawkes to try out, and she loves them, so now she spends even more time in the kitchen hoping to get a treat!

We adopted Fawkes when she was only 8 weeks old, and when we first brought her home we kept her gated in the kitchen so that she could start to get used to being in our home and so that the kitties could get used to having a puppy in the house. For those first few weeks we spent even more time in the kitchen, because who doesn’t want to play with a brand new puppy?!

Look how cute and tiny she was!

Once Fawkes was house-trained we let her have the run of the whole house, but she still loved to follow JM around the kitchen when he was cooking.

To this day she still sits patiently in the corner of the kitchen (right in the middle of everything!) while we cook.

She definitely gets in the way sometimes, but we love that she just wants to be where the people are. And when she’s well-behaved and not sticking her nose in the dishwasher or the cabinets, we love to give her a treat.

I’m thrilled with Milo’s Kitchen dog treats because they’re based on “people foods” but made for dogs. They all have 100% real chicken, beef, or duck as the #1 ingredient and are made right here in the USA. Plus Fawkes loves them! Her favorite is Milo’s Kitchen® Beef Sausage Slices. 🙂

Disclosure: I received compensation from Find Your Influence and Milo’s Kitchen in exchange for my participation in this campaign, and my honest discussion of their products. But the Milo’s Kitchen dog treats are awesome, and Fawkes loves them; all opinions in this post are 100% my own. I would never write a post about something I didn’t think was useful or interesting for you guys, and Practically Functional will only publish sponsored posts for companies or products I love and believe in! 🙂
