P.S. We have a HUGE giveaway for you guys, just in time for Christmas! We are giving away a Silhouette Cameo 3 Bluetooth Machine Bundle and a Silhouette Mint Custom Stamp Maker; scroll down to the bottom of this post to enter for your chance to win!
One of my favorite things about Christmas is wrapping presents. Growing up, I always offered to wrap presents for my family because I love making pretty packages, and my parents were tired of wrapping, so they were happy to let me help! As an adult I still love wrapping gifts and making them look nice, so today I’m sharing my handmade Christmas gift tags with you. If you have a Silhouette cutting machine, I’ve shared a free cut file below; if you don’t, there’s a free PDF printable version available as well!
Handmade Snowflake Christmas Gift Tags
- 3 minutes (time spent doing stuff)
- 2 minutes (time spent waiting around)
- 5 minutes (total project time)
Tools
- Silhouette CAMEO (or a Portrait)
Materials
- card stock paper
- twine or ribbon for tying
Instructions
All you need to do is open up the snowflake tags set in Silhouette Studio, load paper onto your cutting mat, and tell your machine to cut the tags out! Get the free studio file here, or the free PDF printable here.
Write on the upper part of the tags above the snowflakes, then tie them onto a gift!
If you don’t have a Silhouette cutting machine, you can print out the tags using the PDF provided above.

These are so cute! I’d like to use the same idea with a different design, could you do a tutorial on how you made these? (I’m a silhouette newbie:) )
Jessi Wohlwend says
It’s pretty simple to do! Just take a tag shape and place a snowflake (or any other shape) on top of the tag where you’d like the cutout to be, then in the Modify panel on the right, select Subtract and it will “cut out” the snowflake from the tag.

These are so simple and cute! I always try to overdo my wrapping and gift tags and completely run out of time and energy. I love that these are impressive and pretty, but the Silhouette does all the work 😉 Pinning!
