How did your first day of school go this year? I shared a great list of tips for a stress-free back to school earlier, and they really help! AJ is still too young for school, but we did take a few weeks of vacation this summer, so we did some fun back-to-school stuff when she went back to daycare. She was super excited to take some first day of school photos…what a cutie!
Making The First Day Of School The Best Day Of School
The first day of school doesn’t have to be stressful if you take a little time to get prepared. You can even do some fun stuff to make the first day of school the best, most exciting day of school! Your kids are probably already looking forward to seeing their friends again, and you can build on that excitement with some fun photo props, printables, and lunchbox notes to make the first day extra special.
Seattle’s Best Coffee is totally on board with helping parents make the first day of school the best day of school, and they’ve provided an awesome Best Day List on their website with some tips and fun printables! I grabbed the list and free printables to get ready for the first day of school, and I found some great coffee recipes as well!
For our first day of school, I started the day out by making myself a cup of coffee, cuz that’s always first! I love Seattle’s Best Coffee®; it’s quality coffee that’s affordable, and totally delicious. It’s like a mini upgrade for your morning routine, especially if you use their coupon for $1 off your next Seattle’s Best Coffee purchase!
I also printed out their Q&A list to fill out over breakfast, and printed a few lunchbox notes to send to daycare with AJ. (You can get these lunchbox note printable as part of the Best Day List.)
After breakfast we did first day of school photos with the photo props we made a few weeks ago. She’s such a goofball!
After a while she took the crown off and decided to decorate her shirt with the foam stickers so that she would be “pretty”. I love that kid so much! *heart eyes*

Disclosure: I received compensation from Seattle’s Best Coffee® and IZEA in exchange for my participation in this campaign, and my honest discussion of their products. But this coffee is seriously amazing and all opinions in this post are 100% my own.
