DIY Mini Pumpkin Favor Boxes:
Here’s what you need for this project:
- Template (provided below)
- Orange Card Stock
- Green Card Stock
- Orange Ink (optional)
- Sponge (optional)
- Scoring Tool (or a Ruler & Pen)
- Small Hole Punch
- Small Leaf Punch
- Mini Brads
- Adhesive
- 3-D Adhesive Dots (like these or these)
- Scissors
- A Little Patience ;0)
Directions:
Start by printing the template on orange card stock.
If you don’t have a printer, or can’t run card stock through the one you have, you can print the template on regular paper, cut the pieces out, then trace around them on the orange card stock.
Cut all of the pieces out. Make sure that you only cut on the solid black lines. DON’T cut on the dashed lines!
If you haven’t done it already, you can cut off the squares that are filled with hash lines.
Now, score the dotted lines and fold on the score lines. You can use a scoring tool for this or a ruler and a capped pen.
Now you can put the box together. We want to make sure to put it together so that the printed lines are on the inside. It will look prettier that way! :0)
Place your template on your work surface, so that the printed lines are facing upwards and the two open spaces where we cut the hashed boxes out are on the left and right sides.
Put adhesive on the outside edges of the top two flaps.
Fold the bottom sides in…
…then pull them up to meet the outside edges of the top flaps. Doing it this way guarantees that your sides will line up nicely!
Once you have it lined up, lay that corner on your work surface and rub your finger along the inside to ensure that the adhesive holds.
Now repeat that process with the other flaps.
If you’re having trouble getting the sides to lay nicely, you can trim the corner of the inside flap off.
Phew! You got through the hardest part. You’re rocking this project! :0)
Now, cut a strip of green card stock for your handle. Punch a hole on each side of the handle and on each side of the box. Attach the handle with the mini brads.
If you’d like, you can use the sponge and orange ink and sponge around the edges of each of the three ovals. This just adds a little extra dimension to your pumpkin.
Use your 3-D adhesive dots to attach two of the ovals next to each other so that they’re centered on the front of your box.
Place the third oval on top of the first two. Voila! A mini pumpkin!
If you’d like, you can use the leaf punch to add some foliage to your pumpkins or you can cut some small ovals out of green card stock, fold them in half, and use them for leaves.
Now, fill the boxes with a few small treats like Mini Snickers, and add them to your holiday table.
And enjoy listening to your guests ooh and aaaah over how cute they are! :0)

Oh crud, that was a guest post from a long time ago and it looks like she removed the template from her website! I will try to recreate it and I’ll let you know if I can get it working again.

Love these aaadorable pumpkin treat boxes. So doggoned cute and so functional. Can already see how it could be made for other holidays.
Am like that, can’t stand to let something not be as versatile as could be.
When I was making cards, etc. for dogs b/d’s and other occasions figured out how to make bag similar for dog treats. Even had whole family of dog critters I designed, was so fun. Labor intensive but still fun.
This is great post sharing projects for Thanksgiving table. When we go to our daughter/family for holidays I love to take along some little things for table/conversation.Makes meal little more interesting/fun.
Hope your holiday is wonderful, have great rest of week

I love these. I always plan to be creative for occasions but I’m not very organised so fail miserably. It’s probably something I manage to do when I have children (probably less likely). Thanks for sharing 🙂
